How to Make Our Position in Christ a Reality in Our Lives

Cor 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of
the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life
also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
q
Because
we experience both the death and the life of the Lord in our lives in
accordance to
2 Corinthians 4 :10 and 11 this teaches the reality of
the death and the resurrection of the Lord in our lives/
q
Let
us now look at the six scriptures below.
These verses define six specific events that every ‘believer shared in common “TOGETHER” with the Lord Jesus
Christ.
q
Every
Christian believer partook in these six occurrences simultaneously with the
Lord Jesus. These historical incidents therefore have exerted an identical
influence, and produced matching outcomes for us as it did for the Lord Jesus.
We are absolutely one with the Lord in the course and development that these
six events took Him through.
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that
our old man is crucified
with him, that the body
of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
q
When Christ was CRUCIFIED, we were CRUCIFIED
“TOGETHER” WITH HIM.
Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
q When Christ DIED on the cross, we DIED “TOGETHER” WITH HIM.
Rom 6:4
Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism
into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
q
When Christ was BURIED in the tomb, we were BURIED “TOGETHER”
WITH HIM.
Ephesians 2:5 Even
when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together
with Christ, (by grace
ye are saved;-)

When Christ was BROUGHT
BACK TO LIFE, we were BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE “TOGETHER” WITH HIM.
Ephesians 2:6 And
hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

When Christ ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN, we ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN “TOGETHER”
WITH HIM.”
q
When Christ SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER TO RULE AND
REIGN, we SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER TO RULE AND
REIGN “TOGETHER” WITH HIM.
q
We know that the crucifixion,
death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and the sitting down of Christ at God’s
right hand to reign, ARE ALL HISTORICAL EVENTS.
q
Roughly two
thousand years ago, in the succession of time, theses six incidents left their
mark in history. Their historical occurrences will influence time for all
eternity.
q All “born again believers” from the past, the present-day, and the
future, were “TOGETHER WITH CHRIST” and therefore PRESENT
AT THESE SIX EVENTS;
q EVERY BELIEVER WAS THERE EXACTLY AT THE
SAME TIME, AND IN THE VERY SAME LOCATION AS THE LORD JESUS WAS, when these
events took place.
q THE IMPACT, AND THE FINAL OUTCOME OF THESE
SIX EVENTS UPON THE LORD JESUS’ LIFE, WAS IN EVERY WAY OUR IMPACT AND OUTCOME.
q
The answer lies
that every born again believer IS IN CHRIST!
q Envision
for a moment that Christ Jesus is “a book.” You, and I, and every
believer that has and will pass through the pages of global history, is a
piece of paper.
We open the book, slip the piece of paper deep within its pages, and close the book. The piece of paper is now IN THE BOOK! Hence every born again believer is IN CHRIST! Every person, at the moment of his or her conversion, automatically becomes IN CHRIST.
Whatever happened to the book or wherever the book went, will also be the paper’s destiny because it is forevermore in the book. So it is with us, and the Lord Jesus.
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know
that I am in my Father, and
ye in me, and I in you.
1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
Rom 5:12
Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through
sin, and so death spread to all men because all men sinned—
Rom 5:19
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man’s
obedience many will be made righteous.

Every person in human civilization is IN ADAM. Even though billions of us were not yet born when Adam roamed the
face of the earth, spiritually speaking, he and Eve gave birth to all of us,
through a long line of their descendants.
Let us look at the result of our being IN ADAM. Romans five and twelve tells us that sin
came into the world through this one man, Adam. Sin has spread and will
continue to spread to all men and women in civilization causing the eventual
death of all humanity. In other words,
the impact and the outcome that sin had upon Adam have now become our impact
and outcome. Our being IN ADAM has caused us
partake “TOGETHER WITH” him of his sinful nature.
q
q However, at the very moment
that any man or a woman becomes “born again,” they have now become IN
CHRIST, and forevermore have partaken TOGETHER WITH Christ in His life,
death, resurrection and ruler ship.
q These six historical events that we partook “TOGETHER WITH” the Lord Jesus Christ are all in the “past tense.”
q Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that

that henceforth we should not serve sin.

exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

As
we study the six events, I want you to take special notice of the glorious
beauty of the Lord’s accomplished works as seen in the scriptures above. His crucifixion, death, burial, coming back
to life, ascension, and sitting down at God’s right hand to reign, are all in
the past indicative! This
tells us that without fail, He faithfully executed theses six events to utter
completion! Hallelujah!
q
You
will notice however that as we progress through this section of our study, that
whereas Christ has once and for all unmistakably accomplished all in the past
indicative, our walk with the Lord is tied up in the past
subjunctive.
q The big problem throughout history is that
the church, through its ignorance of its position in Christ, and by a
disobedient free will, has left the accomplished tasks of Christ in the
heavenlies, unaccomplished on earth. I
don’t think that we yet understand the eternal ramifications of our not
habitually completing the accomplished tasks of Christ on earth through a life
of disobedience. It is most sobering
for us to know that in our hands lies the responsibility to become free, Spirit
filled Christians, which can bring, or fail to bring, the spiritual kingdom of
God into the earthly realm, through the obedient or disobedient exercise of our
free wills. A free will, which is uncompromisingly obedient and continuously
yielded to the Spirit of God, will bring forth the reality of God’s accomplished
acts into the earth, and will cause all circumstances to line up in accordance
to it. Let us look at one example
Rom 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified(Past
Indicative) with
him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,(Aorist Subjunctive) that henceforth we should
not serve sin.
q
Our
old man was crucified “TOGETHER WITH” Christ.
Please notice the past indicative.
In that the Lord died two thousand years ago, we died two thousand years
ago together in Him. The apostle Paul stresses that it was “our old man” which
died. Our old man was made up of the body, or the whole essence of the sin that
dwelled within us. The “old man” is all that embodied and defined sin in
us. In the reality of our spiritual
position in Christ however, we are sinless. There are several reasons for this.
Rom 6:7 For he that is
dead is freed from sin.
q
The
King James mistranslates verse seven of Romans chapter six. This verse should
read as “For he that has died is justified from sin.” Justification is defined
as innocence. A corpse has no sin. Therefore, he cannot sin, or can he be
tempted by sin. Because of his
sinlessness, and his inability to sin, he is innocent from, or of sin. A corpse
is therefore justified from sin. When we died and were buried together with
Christ, we became a corpse, totally set free from sin. However the
manifestation of this reality in our lives is tied up with our free will, our
faith in believing this positional reality and our obedience to the Lord as
seen with the past subjunctive in
Romans 6:4 below,
Rom 6:4
Therefore we are buried
with(Past
Indicative) him by
baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory
of the Father, even so we also should walk(Past Subjunctive) in
newness of life.
The Righteousness of God Which is by Faith
Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness
of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the
prophets;
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which
is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for
there is no difference:
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the ( Rhema) word of God.

God’s
righteousness is defined as the deeds and works of God executed on our behalf.
q
God’s righteousness is released by our faith,
and comes upon all those who believe.
q
The faith,
which releases God’s righteousness, is His rhema word in our lives as seen in
Romans 10:17 above.
q
The six events become a reality in our
lives as God works them into our lives through the righteousness of God
which is by faith.
q
Our
daily Christian walk is nothing else than taking the accomplished events of the
Lord, which dwell positionally in the spiritual realm, and making them a
manifested reality to us in the earthly realm.
q
To
the proportion that these positional events in the heavenly realm become a reality
to us in the earthly realm as a rhema word, and we can then believe them in
faith so that God can make them come to pass through the righteousness of God which is by faith, is to the same proportion that they will
become, or not become, a reality in our lives either setting us totally
free, or leaving us in partial bondage.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.

Greek: And you shall know through progressive learning what is
genuine and accurate about God, and in proportion to your accurate understanding
of the things of God will be the same proportion that these truths will set you
free
q
The devil
will constantly hit us in any area of our lives that these positional events
are yet not a reality to us as a rhema word. We can have 99% truth as rhema
word and 1% uncertainty or unbelief.
The devil will hit this 1% percent until it becomes revealed as a rhema
word. It is imperative to know that in
these six events we were IN CHRIST and that they are all PAST
INDICATIVE OCCURENCES.
q
In God’s
kingdom everything of His kingdom becomes a manifested reality to in proportion
or degree of our faith as a revealed rhema word.
Matthew 9:29 Then touched he
their eyes, saying, According
to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 8:13 And Jesus said
unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant
was healed in the selfsame hour.
q
If we are not fully assured by the revelation of the rhema word
that these six events occurs as we have taught they will not become a full
reality to us and we will remain in bondage.

20 Which he wrought (ENERGIZED) in Christ, when he raised
him from the dead
(CORPSE), and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Which He energized (PAST TENSE) in Christ when He raised Him
out of a corpse…..
·
Working in verse nineteen, and wrought in verse twenty are exactly
the same root word; ENERGY; Working, is the noun, energy. Wrought
is the verb to
energize.
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power ( DUNAMIS) to us-ward (FUNNELED INTO)
who believe ( CONTINUALLY BELIEVING) , according to the working( ENERGY PUT OUT) of his mighty ( INNER
SPIRITUAL STRENGTH) power,(EXTERNAL DOMINION)
What is the throwing beyond (homerun) greatness of
His dunamis power funneled
into us the ones believing according to the energy that is put out as God’s inner spiritual strength
is translated into His external
dominion.

Dunamis power is the inherent power
within every created being, living, and non-living. God has His own inherent dunamis power.
· This dunamis
power of God now deposited in us allows for His glory to be revealed in the
saints as He puts down and renders useless all that is not of him.
20 Which he wrought (ENERGIZED) in Christ, when he raised
him from the dead
(CORPSE), and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
·
The definition of God’s DUNAMIS POWER
was the energy that was “put out” (in the historical
event 2000 years ago), as Christ was raised up from a corpse and made to sit
far above in rank, power, and physical distance over all principalities,
powers, and might, dominions, and all names which are named both in heaven and
upon the earth.
·
This dunamis power was once and for all
energized INTO CHRIST. Because Christ lives in us, so does this DUNAMIS
POWER.
·
However the living reality of this
dunamis power, as it is funneled or manifested into us, comes in proportion to
our faith.
·
Let us look now in more detail now the
properties of the dunamis power that we have resident within us and available
to us when we walk in childlike obedience and faith
Eph 1:21 Far
above all principality (BEGINNING),
and power(AUTHORITY),
and might,
(DUNAMIS POWER) and dominion(
LORDSHIP OR BONDAGE), and
every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which
is to come:
·
Far above in rank, power, and physical distance
·
Every type of principality – Or the
beginning of every created thing
·
We know a principality to
be an authoritative demonic being.
However, in the NT, the word principality is also used for a physical
beginning, the creation of something, and the root source of something. The dunamis power of God in Christ, and
available to us, is far above in rank and power, above every root problem such
as generational sins, curses, judgments, and the root causes and beginnings in
diseases
Revelation
1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (ARCHE)and the ending, saith the
Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation
22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (ARCHE)and the
end, the first and the last.
·
Authority Power
of choice; liberty to do as one pleases; jurisdiction such as a state police
has over every road within a state; the power of rule and government
· Authority is the power of choice; or the liberty
to do as one pleases, such as the jurisdiction enjoyed by a state policeman or
woman over every road and highway within the state wherein they work. Cancer, for example has its own authority,
in that it can spread at will throughout the human body. However the authority
found in Christ’s dunamis power has an authority far above in rank and power
over that of cancer. By our words, as they are tempered or alloyed 50/50 with
faith, the kingly sway, the power of choice, or the liberty of action to command
the cancer where we please, is available to us.
·
Dunamis power The inherent power in every created thing that defines it and
gives to it its life.
·
As we spoke earlier on,
dunamis power is the inherent power exclusive, to every created thing. Water, has an inherent power of its own,
which gives to it its life, and defines it as water exclusive of any another
object. Cancer has another type of
dunamis power. God has His own dunamis
power. The dunamis or inherent power of
Christ resident in us is far in rank and power above the inherent power of any
other created object. Hallelujah! When we minister, we know that Christ’s
inherent power will subordinate, subjugate and destroy the inherent power
sustaining the evil that we are ministering against.
·
The inherent or dunamis
power of something gives to it life, glory, and honor. Cancer, though evil in nature, has its own
evil glory and honor.
·
Lordship- Someone
or something which can bring into bondage.
·
And every name that identifies something for what it is
exclusive of anything else.
·
A
miracle is an OPERATION of DUNAMIS POWER. The OPERATION is what makes the work
fully operational and effective in the physical world. The DUNAMIS POWER, in this case being God’s,
is FAR ABOVE in rank and distance above all root beginnings, bondages,
jurisdiction, inherent power, and every name that is named,
of anything else in which it is ministered into.

And hath put all things under his feet, and
gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
· All these Christ
subordinated and subjected under His feet.
When God gave Christ be to be head over all of these things to the
church; this same power is now available to us.
Colossians 1:16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
· Because in Him were all types of things were created, the discernable and the indiscernible, there being thrones (ones reigning), kuriotes(exercising control and bringing into bondage) arches and exousisas; all things work through Him and Into Him ( obedience and bringing Him further glory)
